A new level of warmth is delivered with the addition of 50 Family Rooms, a redesign of the previous Duplex Suites category. Soft fabrics and textile accents are in earthy tones, which vary—sand, coral and sea foam for pool view rooms—sunset, moss and coral for garden view rooms. Simple decor, mirrored throughout the room, includes cast ceramic designs in teak frames and handmade paper relief prints.
Located on top floor of each building, the spacious patio overlooking the resort’s lush tropical gardens, is fitted with a day bed for massage or relaxation, along with breakfast table and chairs, perfect for sundown drinks.
The master bedroom features an elegantly canopied platform in a loft arrangement, allowing parents to peer down to oversee children on the lower level. The slatted wooden headboard is draped with a snowy white duvet with throw pillows matching a richly woven runner, which conveniently hangs on the wall at night. Bedside tables remain uncluttered, with drop reading lamps. The marble bathroom actually is expanded with selected walls and counters removed, and new chocolate marble counter tops added. Frosted glass panel doors brighten the chamber. New bathtubs and toilets are accented with wooden shower curtain fittings.
The marble foyer flows into the lower-level children’s room, fitted with twin beds and sliding bed. The 40-inch LCD TVs entertainment system includes on-request Play station II equipment to keep the youngsters amused. Safety locks insure child safety.
Soft roman blinds dress patio doors, with deep set teak sashes and sheer drapes. Stairway and loft embellishments include the addition of slatted railings with directional down lighting. Slip-stop trim and a child-proof lower level gate improve staircase safety.
